Profile

The Profile screen is your personal account page. Here you view and edit your own details — name, phone number, function title and (for practitioners) your AGB code and BIG registration. You also set your language preference, secure your account with two-factor authentication (MFA) and manage your Zivver connection for secure email. Every signed-in user can access their own profile; here you only manage your own account.

Required permissionsNone — everyone may view and edit their own profile

At the top you see your avatar with your name, email address and account status (active or inactive). Below that are your personal details, your professional details (only when you are marked as a practitioner), the security settings, the Zivver connection (only visible when your organization uses Zivver) and your language preference. At the bottom you see when the account was created and last updated.

How it works

The Profile screen combines a few rules that decide what you see and how changes are saved. Four things are worth knowing before you change anything.

Not every section is visible to everyone. The screen adapts to your account and organization:

  • The professional details (AGB code and BIG registration) only appear when you are marked as a practitioner. If you are not, this block is absent — even in edit mode.
  • The Zivver connection under Integrations only appears when your organization has configured Zivver and holds the right license. If either is missing, you do not see this section.

Two ways of saving. Not everything is saved the same way, which explains why you sometimes have to click Save and sometimes do not:

  • You change your personal details and professional details in edit mode and save them explicitly with Save. Nothing changes until you save; Cancel discards the changes.
  • Your language preference and the Zivver toggle take effect immediately when you change them. There is no separate save action — and no cancel.

The Zivver connection moves through a few statuses. The text under the toggle shows where the connection stands:

StatusMeaning
InactiveThe toggle is off; no secure email is sent through your Zivver account.
Active — validatedThe toggle is on and your Zivver account has been checked. The validation date is shown.
Active — not validatedThe toggle is on, but your account has not (yet) been validated.

If Zivver finds no account for your email address when you enable it, the connection fails: you get the message Email address not known to Zivver and the toggle reverts to off.

MFA requires a verified email address. You can only enable two-factor authentication once your email address has been verified. If it has not been, the Enable MFA button is disabled and a message appears. Verify your email address first; after that you can set up MFA.

Edit profile

Click Edit at the top right to change your details. The screen switches to a form with your personal and professional details. Adjust the fields you want and click Save to keep the changes, or Cancel to go back without saving. After saving, a confirmation appears.

FieldRequiredDescription
First nameYesYour first name.
Middle nameNoOptional name infix (for example "van der").
Last nameYesYour last name.
Phone numberNoYour phone number (for example +31612345678).
Function titleNoYour role within the organization.
AGB codeNoYour eight-digit AGB code; only relevant for practitioners.
BIG registrationNoYour BIG registration number; only relevant for practitioners.

The AGB code must be empty or consist of exactly eight digits; otherwise the Save button is disabled. The professional details (AGB and BIG) are only shown on the profile page when you are marked as a practitioner.

Change language preference

In the Preferences section you choose the application language from the Language dropdown. The change takes effect immediately; you do not need to save it separately. Your preference is stored, so the application appears in the same language the next time you sign in.

FieldRequiredDescription
LanguageNoThe application language; choose from the available languages.

Set up MFA

In the Security section you manage two-factor authentication (MFA). The card shows whether MFA is currently on or off.

  • If MFA is off, click Enable MFA to start the setup. You are taken to the setup screen where you configure the verification method. Enabling is only possible once your email address has been verified; until then the button is disabled and a message appears. If your organization requires MFA, that is indicated here too.
  • If MFA is on, you see the chosen method, the date it was enabled and the number of remaining recovery codes. Use New recovery codes to generate a fresh set (the old ones then expire); use Disable to turn MFA off again, after confirming in a dialog.

Keep your recovery codes in a safe place — you need them when you cannot access your verification method.

Update Zivver status

The Integrations section with the Zivver connection only appears when your organization has configured Zivver and holds the right license. Use the toggle to turn sending secure email through your own Zivver account on or off.

Below the toggle you see the current status of the connection:

  • Inactive — the connection is off.
  • Active — validated on [date] — the connection is active and your Zivver account has been checked.
  • Active — not validated — the connection is on, but your account has not been validated yet.
  • Email address not known to Zivver — no matching Zivver account was found; the toggle then reverts to off.

The change is processed immediately; you do not need to save it separately.
